Hard to believe that it's already July 16! The Rideout lab has been in the fly business now for three and a half months. We've come a looooong way from April 1, when dust bunnies covered every inch of every bench. All our equipment has arrived, all the lab stuff is here, and the amazing people in the lab are doing lots of exciting experiments. At lab meeting each week, we either read a paper or discuss our data, accompanied by tasty, home-made treats! Some papers we've covered recently are Linda Partridge's lovely paper on the Ras-Erk-ETS pathway and lifespan in flies, and Tom Neufeld's nice paper on dilp3.
